The Extreme Juice issue presented a provocative opportunity with regards to the editorial feature for LeBron James. We had to illustrate his transition from being King James the beloved, to King James the traitor which dominated his move from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat.

Objective
To illustrate Lebron James’  new role as villain and conceptually portray him in the role of Anakin Skywalker, the hero turned villain, red eyed and light saber glowing with the manifestation of evil intent. I chose illustrator Marco Calcinaro to execute this task as I felt that he was not only amazing at caricatures but also had an amazing way of imbuing them with energy and emotion in a fashion that embodied the negative feelings surrounding LeBron James’ move to the Miami Heat.
